Paid content is labeled Sponsored Content at the top of the story and in every card and listing where it appears. Newsletter sponsorships are labeled inside the email.

Display advertising appears in fixed slots and is never styled to look like a headline.

Advertisers do not see editorial coverage before publication, do not approve it, and cannot have it changed. An advertising relationship never produces a favorable review, and losing one never produces an unfavorable one.

Software reviews and comparisons are commissioned by our editors, not sold.

We report campaign impressions and clicks from our own records. These are affected by ad blockers and by filtering of automated traffic, so they are a reasonable measure of delivery, not a guarantee of human attention.

We do not publish readership figures we cannot substantiate.
